According to a source familiar with the details, the extension will be for 10 years and $30 million.

A source said that previous five-year deal totaled $1.5 million. So the extension will be for 10 times the amount.

So my season ticket count is in double figures with some of those I sit with attending every game, with others invited on a game by game basis, tailgate included..

Don't ask me how I did it, but I over subscribed for Saturday's game, and needed to acquire two more. I called in on Monday and spoke to Dan, my inside ticket guy who replaced John Kramer - some of you know who these guys are - and he was able to hook me up and sell me two.

Yesterday, someone I invited early who couldn't make it and turned the offer down reached back out to see if I might still have tickets left.

Ha! What was he thinking? Come on, It's hard to think any of us would be walking around with extra tickets the week of the game? Anyway, I gave him Dan's number and told him to mention my name when he called, so if there were any tickets left near the two purchased yesterday, he might sell one of those.

No such luck. Glenn just e-mailed back to advise there are no tickets left. So I called in to double check. Unless some administrative area returns an allotment, OUR OPENER IS SOLD OUT!

Marcus Satterfield spent plenty of time talking to reporters today after practice, but he was cautious about getting too specific about position battles. The official depth chart will come out Monday.

But it sounds like the No. 2 quarterback spot belongs to Frank Nutile, and it sure sounds like Ryquell Armstead has had a great camp. When you ask about the running back position, his name keeps coming up. That's not to say that T.J. Simmons and Jager Gardner haven't performed well, but Simmons has missed some time (dinged up is the descriptor being used, but he seemed to be walking around today just fine) and Armstead seems to have been the most consistent of the three.

And while Satterfield wasn't getting into naming a starting five along the offensive line, Kyle Friend said Leon Johnson has done a nice job over the last couple of weeks, so it sounds like he could be making a push to be the starting right tackle. We'll see.

The last time we played PSU at the linc it was in the 10-12k range (I do not recall the exact figure).

Any idea how ticket distribution has been going with the student body?

I'd hope our folks in the ADs office are pushing as hard as they can.

There is definitely a correlation between fandom and victories. Furthermore, the potential to instill a long lasting memory with thousands of students (future alums) who will decide to return to make many more.

As I recall the first half of last years game was pretty equal. It was the 4 interceptions in the second half that killed us.

The running game was dismal, but we were able to throw on their secondary. I believe if we can establish a running game our receivers may be able to break free downfield. All PJ needs is a little more protection from the O-line.

Two questions:
1. Is it good we are playing this soon after last years lost in Nov?
2. How should we attack the Nits in order to win?

Dion Dawkins? I remember how well he shut down ND's highly touted DT (can't remember the name) as a freshman in '13. It seems like he would be able to handle AZ's quickness.

Or do we double team him and keep Thompson in to block?
