What are we doing/ can we do to create real anticipation for our game against the Nits? Aside from the obvious- talking it up with friends, wearing TU garb, bus ads and billboards. I so want there to be some radio chatter leading up to that Saturday.

This past weekend my wife says; "We are going to wedding September 5th at 3pm."

FML.

Already bought tickets section 125. Told her I've been planning this weekend for over a year now. She doesn't seem to give a shit and brings it up everyday how I'm a terrible person to make her go to her friends wedding alone. I have a feeling this isn't going to have a favorable outcome. I'm literally losing sleep over this.

If I get #ucked into this wedding I told her that I hope she knows I'll either be watching on my phone, or will find the nearest reception TV. Either way, she will be dancing alone all night...

The Basketball Tournament is back this year, so I put together a list of all the Temple players participating. The games for the Northeast regionals are this weekend at Philly U. While you can buy tickets through TBT directly, I recommend doing so through GroupOn. It's a good deal - 1 for $14, 2 for $24.

Here are the Temple guys:

David Hawkins is playing for Team City of Gods. They play Friday at 1:45PM.

Dionte Christmas, Mardy Collins, and Mark Tyndale are playing for TYGTAL. They play Friday at 7PM. If they win, they will be playing 20th and Olney, a reunion team of La Salle guys, most of which are from the 2012 team.

Jake O'Brien is playing for Big Apple Basketball. They play Saturday at 4:00PM.

Ryan Brooks is playing for Liberty Ballers. They play Saturday at 9:00AM.

Dalton Pepper, Jacob Godino, Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, Khalif Wyatt, Ramone Moore, and TJ DiLeo are playing for North Broad Street Bullies. They play Saturday at 5:45PM.

Good story on our latest offer. He sure seems to have an ideal mindset for Temple.

It was interesting that solely in terms of build he is different from most TU players of recent years. Not tall yet exceptionally quick. Now, this is not some invidious comparison of tall versus shorter. Rather it suggests our coaches are looking at all types, which seems smart, considering some very good and fast shorter guards who troubled us in the AAC and not long ago the A-10.

Memphis center asked for scholly release according to ESPN, but school will not grant it. Wow !

PJ was invited and attended last year. Do we know if he was invited back this summer? I believe the camp is taking place this week.

Temple got its sixth commitment a few minutes ago when Springfield DE/TE Dan Archibong chose Temple over FBS offers from Army, UConn, UMass, Old Dominion and a bunch of FCS offers.

The South Philly Review reported that Neumann-Goretti outside linebacker Michael DiFrancesco is heading to Temple as a preferred walk-on. The story says Pitt also took a look at him.

"Newbill kicked in the door to Philadelphia for the Nittany Lions; Julian Moore, Garner and Watkins pushed it open. If Carr and Stevens walk through it with Bostick, every high-level recruit in the area will have to consider the Nittany Lions as a serious option. And once Penn State starts locking down the top prospects in Pennsylvania on a regular basis, it can start seeing Ohio State and Michigan State at eye level."

Although I do not foresee Carr and Stevens both landing at Penn State, the thought of this possibility makes me nauseous. If this unlikely nightmare were to happen I think it would be fair to say that Dunphy would never be able to recover during his tenure.

Per a source familiar with his recruitment, Georgios Papagiannis is finishing up his professional team's playoffs and then the FIBA U19 World Championship before taking visits in early July. As of now, he's planning on visiting the following schools: Temple, St. John's, LSU, North Carolina State, Oregon, Kentucky and Kansas.

How good are these recent commits? They don't have any stars which makes me a little worried.

JDC-What are you hearing about him? I'm just guessing he will be red-shirted as he missed his senior year thus missed out on a year of development. He figures to be rusty and the injury he had often takes a while until the player back to 100% (see Randall, Scootie). I just hope they don't have him play 3 minutes a game and lose a year of eligibility (see Wyatt, Khalif).

Just got a text from a friend of mine who is a PSU alum asking if I was going to the game. (My answer - Obviously.) She said she already bought tickets through an alumni deal. I found that interesting considering I got an Owl Club email saying single game tickets won't be available until June 25th. What's up with that?

So, unless we can somehow close the airport and highways around Michigan, it sounds like we are not getting Valentin. That was a bummer, I thought we had a better shot with him
