Taking mailbag questions until 3 p.m. today for The Scoop

Good morning, everyone! We're taking mailbag questions until 3 p.m. today for this week's episode of The Scoop. Kyle, Johnny and I will be joined by former OwlScoop reporter Dante Collinelli, who's now a deputy editor at the 33rd Team. Dante broke down what Tyler Walker's offense could look like at Temple, so we'll be talking a lot about that, the roster, the recent recruiting visits and anything else you'd like to put on the agenda.

Thanks as always for your continued support and listenership with the pod. We appreciate it!

A look at what Temple's offense could be under Tyler Walker

Former OwlScoop staff reporter Dante Collinelli, now a deputy editor at the 33rd Team, wrote about what Temple fans can expect from a Tyler Walker offense. Here's the link just in case you missed it out on the front page.

Temple (-1.5) vs Wichita State...

...tonight as AAC league play begins!

Wichita has only played two true road games and are 1-1 in those games, beating Western Kentucky to start the season and losing by 19 at DePaul.

The Shockers also lost at home to the Kansas City U Kangaroos by 10.

Their biggest loss came in Orlando where they got crushed by Florida 88-51.

FWIW...
Common opponent: Monmouth
Wichita 70 (home)
Monmouth 66

Temple 103 (home)
Monmouth 74

Xavier Bell is a good shooting guard and Corey Washington could be tough to handle on the inside and on the glass.

Not really sure what Temple's identity is as a unit, but tonight would be a good night to develop one!

The Scoop: Adam Fisher preview's Temple's American Athletic Conference opener

I talked to Adam Fisher this morning about Temple's 8-5 nonconference record, the roster, Friday's game and more. You can listen to it on this week's podcast.

Hope you're all having a great holiday!

Four-star corner set for Temple OV

Jett White, who was previously committed to Maryland, has set an official visit to Temple for next week.

White, who originally committed to new Temple defensive backs coach Henry Baker at Maryland, is ranked by Rivals as the No. 44 cornerback in the 2025 class and previously held offers from schools like USC, Michigan, Miami and LSU prior to committing to the Terps.

Davidson (+1.5)

Line moved down from 2.5 this morning...someone loves Davidson.

So far they're 8-2 with losses to Arizona 104-71 and Gonzaga 90-65...no shame there. They have a good win over Providence 69-58. All of those games were in Atlantis tournament.

They have a win over an AAC team, Charlotte, at home, 75-71.

They have 3 players in double figures, Reed Bailey F 18.2 ppg, Bobby Durkin F 14.6 ppg and Connor Kochera G 16.3 ppg.

Looks like Durkin is the big 3 point threat, 44.1%, making 30-68.

Should be another sweat...Go Owls!
