It wasn't pretty but a W is a W. Kudos to Evan Simon who played with great poise under tremendous pressure, particularly with Terry out and an ineffective running game. The D made some big plays down the stretch but kept Tulsa in the game with the many PI penalties.

Other than probably Tulane, every remaining game is winnable.

Very Excited to attend my third Homecoming weekend game (Conlan and I came to a Homecoming game before he enrolled). I hope there is a GREAT crowd there to cheer the guys on. Class of 2026 Bullis School shooting guard Angelo Dickerson told us he is dropping by Temple's practice today on an unofficial visit.

Jaison Nieves from our staff wrote about Dickerson back in July. You can check out the story here.

Dickerson picked up offers from Delaware and George Mason over the summer. Richmond is in the mix, too. He'll be playing for a Bullis team that will likely be ranked among the top 15 programs nationally this season.

His long strange trip has taken him to Kentucky, where he's lighting it up today. Of course, he too would only be able to average two yards a carry behind our "offensive" line.

Rick is adamant he has no problem drawing a line between business and personal relationships -- and he has proof.

"What about my ties to John Chaney?" Rick says, referring to the legendary coach he played for in college. "I'm a Temple diehard, and I had a difficult decision to make. Does [Jalen] go to Temple where I played and his mother played volleyball, or does he go to the best scenario for him and for him to thrive?"

Rick says he's been persona non grata at his alma mater since Jalen chose to go to Philadelphia Big Five rival Villanova.

"I can't go back there," Rick says of Temple. "They don't like me."
