The Scoop with Aaron McKie

Hi, everyone! We're recording Season 5, Episode 39 of The Scoop tomorrow morning with Aaron McKie, and we'll try to mix in some reader mailbag questions if we have time. So if you have a question for Aaron, please post it here and we'll do our best to get it into the mix.

We'll take questions up until midnight tonight.

And here's our weekly reminder to subscribe, rate and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I mention Apple Podcasts as often as I do because the majority (43 percent) of our podcast subscribers access The Scoop that way, but we also have those who access it through Spotify, Google Podcasts and others.

Thank you as always for listening!

Hypothetical Question

What if the UNC Military Bowl game was the last Temple football game ever played? What if the virus keeps us off the field for this whole year causing serious financial hardship issues for the University. And then the P5, for similar financial concerns, breaks away from the NCAA. And faced with our stadium challenges, as we look up at an even thicker glass ceiling, the Temple board of Trustees in decisive fashion concludes we are buried too deep to legitimately continue to fund the program. And that resources have gotten so thin b/c of significant decreases in international student applications, the shutting down of the dorms and dorm revenues, and campus life as we know it, that we need every penny we can get our hands on simply to maintain the academic rigors and standards the Temple University brand requires?

But this is entirely hypothetical. Slow day at work today (errr, at home). Couldn't help myself.

The Scoop - Mailbag questions for Jimmy Fenerty

Hello, everyone!

We're recording our next episode of The Scoop, our weekly OwlScoop.com podcast, tomorrow. In the interest of continuing to get you access to the Temple basketball staff, our guest this week will be assistant coach Jimmy Fenerty. Like Chris Clark did last week, he'll be joining us to give listeners a closer look at the Owls' 2020 class and an overview of the entire roster and what's ahead for the program.

We will be taking mailbag questions up until 11:30 a.m., so if you have one for Jimmy or for us as a staff, please post it here and we'll answer as many as we can.

And here's another friendly reminder to subscribe, rate and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Thank you all so much for continuing to subscribe and for your support of the site. It means a lot to us, and we hope you're all doing well and staying safe, healthy and happy!

The Scoop: Season 5, Episode 38 mailbag questions

Hi, everyone!

Although this week's episode will once again be basketball-centric with Jimmy Fenerty as our guest, we're taking football mailbag questions as well.

So if you have any for us, please post them here and we'll answer them on the podcast. We're taking questions up until 11:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Thanks so much for listening and for your continued support of the site. We appreciate it!

Antonio's Barber Owlscoop Article

Great read -- especially when it comes to how the staff are recruiting players. The development of players into the NFL is really resonating and will hopefully sway these players from P5 offers. I really like the message being delivered by Carey's staff. This article gives you a nice peek at what staff are saying to players they are recruiting
We'll see if they can keep it up and close.
