Penn State's James Franklin has agreed to the terms of a new 10-year contract to remain as the head football coach of the Nittany Lions through 2031. The terms were approved by the Subcommittee on Compensation of the Penn State Board of Trustees today.
From the high point in modern Temple football history to being ( back to ) a laughing stock program and in just a few years !!! It is about management and decisions and we have made lots of wrong decisions .

Currently going on a Twitter rant about Rod Carey and explaining why he “left” the Temple program. I’m sure one of the regulars can post some some screen grabs of his tweets.
You know the pandemic is over when you’re getting Harlem Globetrotter emails from the Liacouras Center! An annual tradition as great as the Masters that we unfortunately skipped last year.
I might actually go this year. I don’t think I’ve ever been. Anyone else ever gone? Worth it?
We'll have plenty of hoops content on this week's episode of The Scoop, along with the return of former OwlScoop.com reporter Sam Neumann, who now covers Clemson, Temple's first opponent in the Charleston Classic, for The Clemson Insider. Sam will give us a closer look at the Tigers, and we'll talk about our takeaways from Temple's loss to USC.
We're taking mailbag questions until 4 p.m. today and look forward to hearing from you.

Cons:
- we lost, and other than the fact we went down 23.
- still too selfish play at times; if they fix that, and become truly unselfish and kick to the open man, they CAN win these.
- So many times I see Hicks just standing wide opened after the defense collapsed.
- officiating sucked
Pros:
- showed heart and grit
- tremendous poise and calm
- believed they would win even when down
- started to run their offense in the second half and spread guys out
- probably grew up a bit tonight
- with the come back and the chess at the end it felt like a March game… these early tough games hurt now but will play dividends later
Hopefully not, but the Jets just traded Sam Darnold to the Panthers. So it's Teddy Bridgewater, currently listed as 2nd, PJ, and Darnold. keep at it, PJ!
We'll also host George Mason and play at Vandy. There's quite the battle within the Big 5 as to where the games are played this year, whether to have the schedule bumped from last year to this year or to skip over last year. It hasn't been figured out yet.
The line is encouraging. Huge opportunity for Mckie in year 3. The Trojans are #17 in Kenpom. A win tonight could go a long way in March if this team can get to 21 wins.
