As long as we're posting inflammatory updates I just thought it might be worth noting that the hack that so many love to compare unfavorably to Dunphy currently has the Johnnies sitting at 11-1 and ranked #17 in the country with their only loss being a very respectable setback to Gonzaga. Just sayin...

the most fun/exciting Temple team I've watched in quite a while. Great defense, fast paced offense, great guard play, low post scoring. I know it's only been 5 games with this team, but I'm really excited for the rest of the year.

Great win yesterday and Temple beating all of the opponents they should [ except for St. Joes ] so looking like a 19 to 22 win team right now . Depends on games like Wednesday at Tulane and at Memphis . I don't think we camn beat SMU or CINCY away but really only games that I have a 90% chance in the loss column .

#2 in NJ in scoring @ 25.2 PPG. Also averaging 8.7 rebounds per game and 5.2 assists per game. Pretty damn good.

For what it's worth Temple will be wearing new uniforms tomorrow for the AAC home opener against UCF. Was told my Deputy AD Pat Kraft, no idea what they will look like but they are not the winged shorts with yellow accent from Texas game last season.

No question in my mind he will be a worthy successor to Will running the point. Terrific game today. Talk about a huge jump from Fr to Soph year...

From watching the bowl games, it is apparent what Temple lacks to be a big-time football school.
1. A rabid fan base that will travel.
2. A fast running back over 6 feet and 200 pounds.
3. A DE who drops back in coverage, makes an INT, and outruns the WRs and RBs.
4. Speed at all positions
5. A WR and a QB who can play pitch and catch whenever necessary.
6. WRs who can make tough catches in traffic and have breakaway speed.
7. A placekicker who is money anywhere on the field.

What is the most glaring thing is our lack of team speed that was magnified by these bowl games. I've one 200 pound plus RB after another outrun everyone. I've seen DLs and LBs who can run down QBs and RBs and make TFLs. It makes me shake my head that we get none of these players.

I don't live in the area and happen to be in Philly this weekend. Always try to catch the Owls when in town so I will be at the UCF game. Any chance the bars on campus will be open before the game? It starts at noon - so didn't know if anyone pre-games for a nooner tip off.

Looks like he's playing safety for the East squad in the Army All-America Bowl. He just made a hit on a short pass play that ended up being ruled a fumble.

Watching the UA All-America game and this WR was listed as considering us, Baylor, Louisville, and LA Tech. Came up on an on-screen graphic after he made a really nice catch. Goes to Prime Prep.

Top PA dual threat QB (2016) from council Rock north chose South Carolina yesterday over PSU. I was kinda upset we didn't even make his top 6, but as long as we don't have to play against him Im happy for him and his decision.

My daughter goes to U of O, they have never won a NC, FSU wins all the time (29 straight) - so I was rooting for Oregon. But I hate the way they do offense. It makes the game like a track meet with a football. I just cannot watch it, so I turned it off at halftime and checked back periodically.
Glad Ducks won and want them to win the NC, but I just can't watch them.

Watched the Eagles but I'm not here to debate them. They are another story. I did notice the number of times they used the TE. Ertz had a career day. I would like to see Temple's become a real offensive weapon not just a blocker. Remember Rod.

Since PSU is our first game next year, I saw they just lost their second player (Deion Barnes) to the draft that still had eligibility to play next year. Offensive lineman Donovan Smith was the other. It also looks like defensive lineman Anthony Zettel has requested a draft evaluation as well but plans to return (for now at least).
