TU Sport Podcast

JDC, have you ever given any thought to putting a podcast together related to TU sports that you cover? I have no knowledge of how to do a podcast so I dont know the resources it would take or if they are available to you but I think the idea would be really cool and I would definitely listen. You and Kyle dropping knowledge during basketball and football season, having guests on, talking recruiting, doing a mailbag type of thing etc on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Would be awesome.

This is a random idea but I saw you mention a sports talk show in passing on another thread and the idea popped in my head.

Temple Basketball vs #25 SMU NYC Game Watch

This week

This is a very imprortant/exciting week for us. I believe if we go 1-1 we are a lock for the tournament as long as we don't lose to ECU or Houston. If we beat one of these 2 teams and the 2 easy games then we can lose to Uconn and our first game in the tournament and still be safely in.Also I think it is very important to finish top 2 in this league. If we are a 3 or 4 seed we will probably see Uconn or Memphis in the first round. If we finish 1 or 2 we get Tulane ECU or UCF most likely a big difference.

Comparing resumes

Team A, currently projected a 5 seed:

Top 100 RPI wins: 19, 28, 35, 49, 56, 58, 72, 75, 88, 94 (3 teams currently projected to make the Tournament)

RPI losses: 3, 5, 42, 80, 89, 121 (3/6 teams currently projected to make the Tournament)

Team B, currently projected an 11 seed:

Top 100 RPI wins: 1, 28, 73, 80, 98, 99 (2 teams currently projected to make the Tournament)

RPI losses: 4, 5, 23, 28, 45, 93, 160 (5/7 teams currently projected to make the Tournament)

Team A has more wins against decent/NIT type teams, 1 more win against projected NCAA Tournament teams, and 2 wins against bubble teams that won't make the Tournament.

Team B has more losses, but the majority of their losses are to projected NCAA Tournament teams. They also beat the top RPI team.

Is it me, or is there not really much of a difference between those two resumes?

POLL:Attrition

Attrition is a normal thing. We love all our players, but some lose interest, some have nagging injuries, some want to start at a FCS school, some want to be closer to home. So where do you think we are overloaded and might see some guys move on?

SMH Brookover

Hey, I know it should be more full. All due respect to the Palestra, which has it's unique charms, but the Liacouras is clearly the best venue in the city to watch a game.

"It would be blasphemous to say it's a better place than the Palestra, but it's not a reach at all to say it is in the running with St. Joseph's renovated Hagan Arena as the second best basketball venue in the city."

Liacoras

East Carolina

Has anyone seen them play ? I have not and would like some insight.
Stats indicate they play a lot of guys and the guards do all the scoring. Coach Lebo has been around the block a few times, so expect that they are well- coached. They have won 3 of last 4 - all at home. They have not won a single game on the road all year. Should be a full house what with Hooter's B- day always bringing a crowd.

Go Owls !
