Temple Basketball Single Game Tickets

So I'm on owlsports.com trying to get 2 extra tickets for friends to come Sunday. I'm scrolling the mouse over the sections and section 213 it says $8 per ticket + $4 ticket fee.

I select 2 tickets.

It takes me to the checkout page.

It's $8 per ticket. Plus a $4 "ticket fee." Plus a $10 "order charge." Plus a $5 "delivery charge."

So I went from $16 for two tickets to $39 after "fees" and "charges."

It's hard to not hate this University. I'm going to just go to stubhub or seat geek. I'm pretty sure seatgeek is giving me 10% back if I use my Chase card.

If you want $39, just charge $19.50 a ticket! Or charge $15.50 a ticket with a $4 fee. But are we seriously collecting $16 for tickets and then $23 in fees go somewhere? Is Paciolan making more revenue off us selling tickets than we make off of selling tickets?

Semi OT Unis

Watching SMU at Tulane tonight, I realized that SMU is using Dallas as their team’s name, with SMU on the waist band. I know they’ve done this with football.
Would it make sense for Temple to substitute Philly for their ID as an alternate jersey?
Philly, like Dallas is seen as hip place that has a generally positive vibe throughout the country. But amongst casual fans in other regions, not everyone knows where Temple is located.
Of course, the official T would be present on the shorts.

Mailbag questions for The Scoop

We'll of course be talking about Sunday's big game against No. 3 Houston and anything else you'd like to put on the agenda on this week's episode of The Scoop, so if you have mailbag questions for us, please drop them in here by 2 p.m.

This week's podcast will also include an interview with Temple assistant coach Chris Clark. (I recorded the interview already, so mailbag questions shouldn't be directed to Chris. We'll do another interview like that later on this year when they answer listener and reader mailbag questions.)

Thank you as always for listening!

Shizz Alston, Part II: 'We could have won a national championship'

I know most of you are either focused on the Eagles right now or enjoying Temple's four-game win streak, but when you get a chance, check out the second part of our conversation with former Owls standout Shizz Alston.

Yes, Alston said he often thinks of how things could have turned out differently had Temple's roster looked the way it was supposed to in Fran Dunphy's final seasons on North Broad Street.
