Do you know if there is any thought that we are actually red-shirting him this season? I think he falls well with-in the criteria to maintain a red-shirt as he has only played a total of 20 minutes all season. While it is unconventional, he could help serve a role next year as the 3rd big while Damien Moore develops.

Prep Charter 4-star defensive lineman Karamo Dioubate comes in at No. 164 in the final 2016 Rivals250 rankings.

As you all probably know by now, Dioubate is a former Penn State verbal. And as Kyle first reported, he was in for a visit this past weekend.

I've been told now by a few sources that he could be making three more visits before deciding, including a possible double visit this week or weekend, but I haven't been able to confirm where. He'd be the highest-ranked Temple commit and an instant-impact player out of the gate, so we'll see how that goes.

A couple of other recruiting notes to pass along:

I was told by a few people I talked to that Temple might have made a favorable enough impression on North Fort Myers HS wide receiver Freddie Johnson. He's not highly-ranked, but someone I talked to down there thinks he could be what Robby Anderson was at Temple - a quick, fast playmaker that can stretch defenses. The impression I got is that he and his family wanted to come home and talk things over before deciding, but we'll see how that goes as well.

I'd suspect Temple will look to add 1-2 more offensive linemen with this class, and I also had an interesting conversation yesterday with someone familiar with Dan Archibong who thinks he could eventually/potentially become an offensive tackle, so we'll see. The staff and some of the current players seem very high on Benson Israel and Jovahn Fair, who could both make serious pushes for the starting guard spots after redshirting this year. Obviously, we have a ton to learn about that in the spring and preseason camp.

Last week, Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL) offensive lineman Willa Pierre committed to Temple. The Owls were his first offer. Pierre is a 6-foot-2, 297-pounder.

Francis Brown offered Pierre last May.

Looks like we will be watching Villanova play at the Wells Fargo for a trip to the Final Four. They play great defense and their ball movement and offense are scary good. They shot 63% last night and Hart and Ochefu combined to shoot 19 for 24. Only and injury to Ochefu or Hart would seriously derail them.

2 extras in Section 219 that I cannot use, I just want to get what i paid for them ($80 total). Hell, i'll take enough to buy 2 beers at the New Deck before. I can meet at the game.

Just decommitted from Penn State. I know Temple has been on him for a while. I hope we get him.

Regarding Smu's NCAA tournament ban, are they also ineligible for the AAC tourney? If not, what happens if they win the tourney? Who gets the auto bid?

Also, I hope they remain undefeated when they come into a hopefully energetic Liacouras Center. It will be nice to give them their first loss after going 0-3 vs them last year.

We've confirmed that Temple also had two offensive linemen recruits in this weekend. We've updated the recruiting article to include their names.

Elijah Johnson, a 6-6, 310-pound offensive tackle from DeMatha HS in Maryland that's currently committed to Rutgers, was in on an official. Robinson's been committed to Rutgers since June but also has an official visit scheduled to Boston College next weeks. Looks like he's exploring his options. Also has offers from schools like Pitt, Maryland, West Virginia.

Marcus Brown, a 6-3, 330-pound offensive guard from East Coast Prep up in Massachusetts, was also in on a visit. He has an offer from East Carolina. Coming out of high school, Brown was a highly-regarded defensive tackle prospect and had offers from Mississippi State and UConn. He's a bit of a freak. From everything I've heard, he's probably closer to 340 pounds but runs a legitimate 4.8-4.9 40-yard dash at that weight.

Anyone else heard anything? Can we believe this?

DL Rashad Weaver, who is listed as one of this weekend's visitors, is quite a stud. If we can get some of the uncommited kids who are visiting this weekend, it would be unreal.

Just to give you guys a head's up, the Rivals network is switching the format of sites on Tuesday, January 12. On that date, you'll still access OwlScoop the same way you usually do but you'll notice some differences.

The main difference for you, as the reader, is going to be the way you see articles. Instead of the front page showing five articles, all of the articles will now be in one long, scrollable list. We're able to insert images, tables and videos a lot easier than we were on Rivals' old format.

From what we've been told, this new format is going to make your mobile experience much, much better. The transition for you, as the user, should be seamless. For John and I, it'll take some getting used to but we're not expecting much of a learning curve.

While the new design is going live on Tuesday, it's not a completely finished product. You'll notice some "old" versions of pages, such as the recruiting database, lingering around until new versions can be built by Rivals.

After another strong game last evening, 18 points, 8 assists, 6 boards and 3 steals is there any chance Temple would at least offer Josh Sharkey a spot? The point guard has shown he just may be in line for a shot with his play this season! I guess my question would be..why not? And they have the spots to offer!

....is going after most of our entire commitment list. That includes QB Montel Aaron. I guess they didn't like how we kept after Russo. You've seen some of it bubble up on twitter. Supposedly Ash and a few other of their coaches have been trashing Temple on all fronts. Prepare for recruiting war, gentlemen. This is going to be fun.
