Optimistic.

I’m going to say it’s just COVID year. Some really big names aren’t in the tourney this year or have horrible records and squeezed in.
I expect 18 wins next year and some bubble talk. No reason to not be optimistic. Talent level is solid and we have some very impressive freshman coming in like Hysier who should contribute write away. I’m not sure how good we will be defensively, but I do suspect we will be more exciting to watch offensively.

I also would like to see potential changes to assistant coaches sooner than later if next year is not 18 wins. We all know temple will not fire mckie right away given what he means to temple and Philly. So I suspect he will serve the remained of his contract. BUT he should be given a tough convo on his staff and getting some A+ recruiters. Howard at Michigan has an offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator too. This approach is becoming more common in college basketball.

Barry

Can people stop with the “run plays to get Barry open for three’s?” Yes, you could get him running around screens for open three’s but then he’d be JJ Reddick. There’s a reason he was at Dartmouth. Good guy to have in helter-skelter end of game situations when people are scrambling and leave him unguarded like today. Love to have him back though but hopefully not needed to play 25 minutes.
