What happened to Watson

I am a former die hard TU basketball fan that has finally lost interest.i have not been following too closely this year but still follow the box scores. I have not seen Watsons name since about the third game of the season. Is he gone from the program. I read this board a lot but have not seen anything about it. Sorry if I missed something. Can someone get me up to date.

Is It Too Early To Ask...

Not complaining about going to Florida in December, but the downfall to an early bowl game (even though I'm grateful to have earned one this season) is that as a college football fan there are still like two weeks left to the bowl season and we have played already and worse yet, lost.

Anyway, my question(s) is this: What are the New Year's Six bowl games for next season? It looks like the Sugar, Cotton, Rose and Orange are the potential candidates, with only the Cotton not having a conference tie in.

Will you be there? I originally expressed interest in only NY6 or Birmingham Bowl. This one fell on a day in which I can take off from work, so I'm going to Florida for the first time in my life.

Kelvin Harmon

I saw Danny_Almonte posted in another thread that is now locked that Harmon decommitted from South Carolina and has some real interest in Temple. Has anyone else heard anything similar? Would be a major major pickup and could be exactly what we need to start the waterfall of local talent staying home.

Boca Bowl Meet n Greet info

For those Forum followers coming to the game, we are going to try to do a " Meet n Greet" for the Forum regulars.
I am going to scope out the best tailgate spot, but here is what I know already.

FanFest at 3:00 pm
Gates open at 2:00

It would help if I knew how many planned to attend the meet up. It will just basically be a tailgate spot that we all meet at. If we get a solid number and agree on what everyone wants, I can bring it with me, since I am local. Then everyone just reimburse me.

Give me your board name, and how many, including yourself will attend.

Liacouras

The article in the inquirer today about Peter J who was the president when I attended Temple was a great story. Without a man like Mr Liocourus who was a visionary,Temple would not have a football team. It is good to see a positive article about Temple coming from that paper.

Our brand

Part of the problem with the basketball program is the brand or lack thereof. I hate to keep bringing up Chaney but...... when you said Temple basketball, either locally or nationally, people would say Chaney, matchup zone, 6 am. practices, the team no one wanted to play in the tournament. When you say Temple hoops now, you're likely to draw a blank stare. What's our brand? No one (maybe Saint Joe's) even hates us. Being hated is even worse than apathy.

Arians rules

" A lot of Temple," Arians said. "This is Temple West."

Arians planned on having the Cardinals practice at Temple's campus this week, but the Cardinals changed their travel plans when the NFL moved Sunday's kickoff from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Cardinals are now flying to Philadelphia on Saturday.

Another commit

Don Bosco Prep offensive lineman Matt Hennessy committed to Temple tonight. The 6-foot-4, 277-pound Hennessy had offers from 19 schools, including Air Force, Army, Buffalo, Florida Atlantic and Old Dominion. He also had a slew of FCS offers, including Delaware, Villanova and Towson. Oh, and some schools named Harvard, Columbia, Dartmouth and Yale. So he's a solid student.

With four commitments, including Taiyir Wilson's readdition to the class, in the past few days, Temple is now up to 19 commitments for this class. Hennessy hasn't been assigned a star rating yet. Even without his stars taken into account, Temple is now No. 4 in the AAC's recruiting rankings and No. 71 overall. If Hennessy is rated as a high 2-star, Temple will rise to No. 68 in the nation's recruiting ranking, right behind Rutgers at No. 67.
