Our guest on The Scoop this week will be Fran Duffy, a production manager and on-air talent with the Philadelphia Eagles. Among other things, he produces the Eagles' Journey To The Draft and Eagle Eye In the Sky podcasts. He was at the Senior Bowl, the Shrine Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine, so he's well equipped to talk about Temple's draft prospects like Matt Hennessy, Shaun Bradley, Chapelle Russell and Harrison Hand.

Additionally, you might remember Fran from his tenure with Temple football as the program's video coordinator from 2006 to 2011.

So this should be a football-filled podcast with lots of draft talk and stories about the Al Golden era and the turnaround of the program.

We'll of course be asking Fran a lot of the essential questions about his thoughts on Temple's four top draft prospects, but if you have mailbag questions for him or other football-related questions for us as a staff, please post them here and we'll answer them on the podcast.

I talked to Matt Hennessy earlier today about his decision to enter the 2020 NFL Draft, and he also had some high praise for his potential successor.

#10 Temple plays Thursday at 8 p.m. eastern time versus #7 SMU on ESPNU. SMU will be playing a de facto home game with the tourney in Fort Worth. If Temple wins, they get two seed Houston Friday at 7:30 (also on ESPNU).

One thing I did want to clear up: I did say on the podcast that I thought practices would be closed entirely, but I was wrong. We can see the first 15 minutes. Interviews will be done after practice.

Former Temple RB Zaire Williams has passed away. Member of the 2013 recruiting class. Not sure of the cause. Rough.

Memphis and half of the AAC schools determine their announced totals by combining season tickets plus single game season tickets sold plus students scanned into the game plus credentialed personnel attending. The other AAC schools count all of their student seating rather than tickets counted. The article doesn’t mention which AAC schools follow which method.

Memphis announced an average of 38K plus this year but had actual attendance (tickets being scanned) of 27K. It was 18K plus last year. Their opener with Ole Miss brought a lot of SEC fans and their game with SMU was when Gameday showed up. They announced a sellout for SMU but attendance was actually 43K (capacity for the Liberty Bowl is 59K plus).

Asking to name one positive going into next year or year after frankly?

No thread . I can understand . Just more of the same . I tune in hoping to see another a Temple team but it would be a mirage . Big fan but it has really been tough last five or six years .

In an earlier thread, a few games back, I took some heat about saying same old Temple. Those guys were right. I miss the days of “Same old Temple”. This my friends is rock bottom.

Might as well get it started.

Note: if you can’t effectively shoot a jumper, finish at the rim, shoot a free throw or dribble, handling the ball and attempting to drive TWICE when we need points at the end of the game is hardly ideal.

Either the player isn’t listening, the coach isn’t communicating or the coach is communicating what he does or doesn’t want and the player goes rouge. None of it’s good. That was the most ridiculous ending to a game I’ve seen in a while, and that’s saying something given the last handful of years. And if the players don’t want to listen, GTFO and go find somewhere to else to play.
