Keys for Owls to be in the game late against Cats

On paper , this is a mismatch but that is why they play the games and stranger things have happened . This is not an unbeatable Villanova club .

1. Temple must play better defense than they have lately . We can be in game in 50s and 60s .

2. Villanova rebounds well and especially on the offensive boards . We have to seal and rebound well

3. Alani will have his hands full with Donnelly . Donnelly has a very good mid range game and we need to keep him out of the paint . He gets into the core of the defense and can score and pass .

4. Shooting has to be at last 38 percent and threes at 35 percent to even be in the game .

I don’t see us winning but I do see a very competitive game .

The Scoop - mailbag questions

Hi, everyone.

We'll be recording this week's episode of The Scoop early Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. If you have football-related mailbag questions, please send them here and we'll answer them on the podcast.

Rod Carey is our guest for this week's podcast, so we'll have a lot of great stuff from him. I already recorded that interview this morning, so these would not be mailbag questions for Carey. Just a note there to keep in mind.

Thank you all for listening and we look forward to answering your questions!

CBS Bracketology

Clearly Temple has no shot at an at large bid. However, Palm says the AAC originally looked like a 3 bid league but is suddenly looking like a one bid league (as of today). Memphis and Wichita State slumping has really hurt. Houston is the only team in and they are an 8 seed.

I know Temple hasn’t helped with their performance since moving to the AAC but I thought the conference last year found its footing with a pretty strong league top to bottom (outside Tulane and ECU).

ESPN Can Renegotiate the New AAC TV Deal With Uconn Leaving

“The network inserted the clause in case the AAC’s football powerhouse - UCF - left for a bigger conference. Memphis, Houston, Cincinnati and USF also were seen as likely AAC schools to be poached by bigger conferences if realignment took hold again. ESPN inserted the clause as an assurance that it would not be left paying $1 billion to a conference that has lost its highest rated teams.”

It is troubling that Temple is never included with these schools.
