Saturday seemed like a special day. So I decided to blow off work this morning and do some research. How often has Temple football and Temple basketball played on the same day and given us a double W? It's VERY rare. In case you were wondering. Over the past 30 years, there are only 5 instances where this has occurred. Now I might go blow off my afternoon as well. To celebrate!

1. November 16, 2019 - Temple football defeats Tulane 29-21 and Temple basketball defeats LaSalle 70-65 in Olney.

2. December 3, 2016 - Temple football wins the American championship 34-10 at Navy and Temple basketball beats Big 5 opponent Penn 70-62 on North Broad.

3. December 6, 2014 - Temple football beats Tulane 10-3 in the Bayou and Temple basketball beats LaSalle 58-57 at the Palestra (the odds of this happening with these exact teams a 3rd time in our lifetime is probably less than 1%!!!)

4. November 17, 2012 - Temple football beats Army 63-32 behind Montel Harris' 351 rushing yards and Temple basketball beats Rice at home 77-63 in the battle of the Owls. The Owls would rush for 534 yards on the day. Staggering numbers.

5. November 21, 2009 - Temple football beats lowly Kent State 47-13 at the Linc and Temple basketball handles Siena 73-69 at the Liacouras Center.

I know people hate these threads. I just haven't heard much of an update on the Stadium. After doing a search, it looks like mostly opinion pieces online.

Does anyone have an update or a link to the most relevant information?

Can someone weigh in the following players and if the plan is to redshirt them or what's going on?

Linwood Crump - 4 games so far
Nick Madourie - Only played in 1 game? He redshirted last year correct? Has he been hurt again?
Kevin Robertson - 4 games so far. Is he considered a future part of the rotation or just a practice body?

I was surprised to see that their is no article about the Temple football game in the Sunday Inquirer. Even though it is stated on front page of sports section.

No sure why this topic made me want to post, as Matt is gone and should be (maybe) forgotten. But the guy did such a good job with us it’s tougher to be a hater.

So he’s got his Baylor team undefeated and playing Oklahoma on national TV. Can’t help but think it’s his biggest game for him since Temple Penn State. The guy just wins. I guess what I'm saying, it’s tough not to root for him. He changes the culture whoever he goes. I never thought he could make Baylor a winner. I was wrong. The people at Baylor should enjoy it, cause I don’t think he will be around there to long.

17-17 with 6:45 left and USF with the ball nearly at midfield. The Cincy QB (Ridder) has 37 yards passing. Let’s hope he keeps it up for next week.

...bet down at Circa from -4.5 opening. Tulane averages 6.6 yards per play compared to Temple's 5.08 could explain a lot of it, as they really haven't beaten anybody of significance. Dual threat QB, transfer from LSU, is really their entire offense as he's accounted for 25 TDs run/pass. I prefer the Owls in a home dog role! #LIVEdog
