I have heard the administration wasn't too thrilled with his attitude.

Temple has added Nazir Burnett, a transfer WR from Georgia Tech, OwlScoop.com has learned. Burnett is originally from Bishop McDevitt HS in Harrisburg and signed with Georgia Tech in January over offers from Boston College, Michigan State, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Rutgers and Syracuse. Burnett was originally committed to Syracuse before decommitting during his senior year.

Burnett was a two time First Team All-State selection at McDevitt. During his senior season, Burnett caught 78 passes for 1,746 yards and 25 touchdowns. As a junior in 2017, Burnett caught 52 passes for 1,110 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Burnett appeared in two games for Georgia Tech this season, including against Temple, and maintained his redshirt. If he receives a transfer waiver, Burnett will have four years to play four seasons at Temple. If he has to sit out a year, he'll have three years to play three seasons.

Temple is expected to host Buffalo commit Trey Blair tomorrow and Thursday for an official visit, OwlScoop.com has learned.

The reason Blair is coming in this week is because he's scheduled to take his official visit to Buffalo this weekend. Temple has yet to offer Blair, who also has offers from UMass and Army, but that is likely to change this week.

Blair, who projects as a defensive back at the next level, had an absolutely monster senior year. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Blair rushed for 2,192 yards and 27 touchdowns this season. Blair also threw for 1,155 yards.

Busy weekend for FBS coaching changes with BC, USF, Ole Miss and Missouri canning their head coaches along with resignations of Davie at New Mexico and Wilder at ODU.

Currently 10 openings: Arkansas, BC, Florida State, Ole Miss, Missou, New Mexico, ODU, SFU, UNLV and UTSA.

Norvell (Mem), Fickell (Cincy), Fritz (Tulane), and Heupel (UCF) would seem to be top candidates for the P5 openings. Kiffin (FIU) and Napier (LA-Lafayette) would also be in the running but they are also potential HC replacements at the AAC schools.

Is there anyone on the staff that would potentially be HC candidates for the lower tier FBS schools like ODU, UNLV, UTSA? Or P5 coordinator jobs? Knowles and Brown come to mind.

It’s been awhile since we had big men with legit size and skills for the position. I saw Jake play in high school so I already was familiar with his potential and I like what Mckie said after the game about Jakes ability to shoot on the perimeter which Mckie said eventually he’ll allow Jake to showcase.
Much wasn’t expected from Parks, Dunphys last recruit which is ironic, so he’s been a great surprise. Both play hard and appear to have good attitudes which will enable them both to improve and become better players.

Anyone worried about the game tonight? Predictions?

Any team that has trouble scoring and shooting is susceptible to being upset. However, Temple’s defense can keep them in most games and could pose issues for St. Joes. I think this will be a close game for awhile before the Owls put them away.

Just hired at Colorado State!

Spoke to a source yesterday that told me it's unlikely that Temple will sign Netherlands OL Liridon Mujezinovic next week. He hasn't decommitted for another school or anything, it's just unlikely that he'll be able to get through the NCAA Clearinghouse so Temple is moving on.

Just now scrolled through Don Otto's photo gallery of the Connecticut game. The craftsmanship is fine, particularly in its capture of the game's many expressions.

I was struck by the faces of our players holding cherry and white bouquets. I'm presuming the flowers were given to graduating seniors. Shown, in order, are Benny Walls, Shaun Bradley, Sam Franklin and Isaiah Wright.

Maybe it's the holiday season that leads one to be a little sentimental as I was moved by their faces, which gave pause to remember these are very young men who were formed up in their four or so years at Temple. Now they leave what they know and trust to a world of unknowns and uncertainties. They received much from our university and have given us more in return.

A source told OwlScoop.com today that Baylor has submitted a waiver request for tight end Kenny Yeboah, who announced on Dec. 2 that he would be entering the transfer portal.

Remember when the lowest common denominator of our fan base, including the back of section 121 and the dunce behind TempleFullbackForever wanted this guy fired?

As expected after Fran Brown went to Rutgers, Chris Long has decommitted from Temple. He's expected to take an official visit to Rutgers this weekend and likely sign with the Scarlet Knights.
