The Scoop: Season 6, Episode 5 mailbag questions

We'll have audio from Rod Carey and a few of Temple's defensive linemen on this week's episode of The Scoop. If you have football-related mailbag questions for us, please post them here and we'll get to as many as we can on the podcast.

And if you haven't already, please subscribe, rate and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you access your podcasts. As I mentioned on the basketball board, ratings and reviews help us gain more exposure on these platforms and are very much appreciated.

Thanks so much for your continued support!

Kyle Dobbins and Onasis Neely

While Re’Mahn Davis, Tayvon Ruley and Edward Saydee look to be Temple’s top-3 running backs entering the 2020 season, Gabe Infante didn’t rule out Kyle Dobbins and Onasis Neely as potential contributors.

After Friday’s media availability Sam Cohn and myself wrote a piece on why you can’t count out Dobbins and Neely, which you can read here:

Tuesday’s Notebook

Here’s a notebook from today’s media availability with Rod Carey. Included are updates about how Temple will be testing going forward and Christian Braswell’s health. Also mentioned are notes on Evan Boozer, who is certainly a player to watch with his performance in camp and the continuous battle at the “field” safety position.

Gabe Infante

After speaking with reporters during Friday’s media availability, I decided to take a deeper look into Gabe Infante’s first season with the Owls.

You can read the story here:

Week 1 game chatter with Temple off

Since we don’t play for a few weeks feel free to add any interesting story lines or Temple ties playing this week to help pass the time:
-Quincey Roche had a sack for Miami and is now the FBS leader with 27 career sacks.
-Hoping the Duke QB lights up ND to make our bowl embarrassment a little less embarrassing
-Former WR Sean Ryan, now at WVU, is not a starting WR
-FSU embarrassing GT would be fun to watch

The Scoop: Mailbag questions for Season 6, Episode 4 with Philly Pride AAU Coach Brandon Williams

We're recording our next episode of The Scoop with Philly Pride AAU Coach Brandon Williams, who will give us some insight into the game of recent Temple verbal commitment Zach Hicks. We'll also ask Williams about Hysier Miller, Aaron McKie and the Temple program and much more. If you have mailbag questions for him or for us, please post them here and we'll get to as many as we can on the podcast.

We will take questions up until noon tomorrow.

Thank you all for listening. We appreciate it!

The Scoop: Season 6, Episode 4 mailbag questions

In addition to our conversation with Philly Pride AAU basketball coach Brandon Williams, we'll obviously be talking a lot about football as well this week on The Scoop. In case you missed it, the Owls can practice at full capacity now as they prepare for the Oct. 10 season opener at Navy. We'll have some audio clips from Rod Carey, quarterbacks coach Craig Harmon and quarterbacks Re-al Mitchell and Trad Beatty.

We're taking mailbag questions until noon tomorrow, so please post them here if you have them and we'll get to as many as we can on the podcast.

Next season speculation

What are the odds the seniors get a chance to have a special redshirt year given all of this uncertainty? I was just wondering since players like Russo and such were banking on showing improvement to up there stock and possibly land with a pro team.

I know that no one knows anything at this point, but curious what everyone thinks can happen if the season does get canceled (which it is highly likely at this point)

If i missed this conversation in another thread, sorry for bringing it up again lol.....i miss sports

The Scoop with Ari Rosenfeld

We're recording our next episode of The Scoop tomorrow afternoon with Delaware Valley Hoops Report Scouting Director Ari Rosenfeld, who will talk about the verbal commitments of Neumann Goretti point guard Hysier Miller and Camden Catholic forward Zach Hicks, what they mean for the Owls and who the program could be eyeing up in the future.

If you have mailbag questions for Ari or for us, please post them here and we'll answer them on the podcast.

Thanks so much for listening!

The Scoop: Season 6, Episode 3

If you haven't listened yet, I think you'll all enjoy what Delaware Valley Hoops Report Scouting Director Ari Rosenfeld had to say about Hysier Miller and especially Zach Hicks on this week's episode of The Scoop.

And please subscribe, rate and review if you can on Apple Podcasts. The more reviews we get, the more visibility you help create for Temple sports talk on that platform.

Thanks so much!
