Mega Basketball Preview: Part 1

Here is Part 1 of Sam Cohn and I's mega basketball preview. Make sure you're checking out the front page as we'll have daily content throughout this week leading up to Saturday's season opener against Virginia Tech. Also included in this introduction is an analysis video from our "Boston" Sam. Make sure you check it out, he did a really nice job with it.

Perseverantia Vincit

I simply can't believe how many "Owls" are saying we should just quit.

That's not the Temple Tuff I know. Perseverance Conquers.

Our players are at minuscule risk of Wu Flu, being healthy, young people.

They want to play, and are showing guts and grit. They should be making us proud. These are men who are often at a severe size, age, and skill disadvantage, but are still out there battling in supremely difficult circumstances. Calling for them to surrender does nothing to support their admirable efforts.

Fight it out until the end, just like our players are.

The Scoop: Mailbag questions

We're taking mailbag questions until 4 p.m. today for this week's episode of The Scoop, our weekly podcast. We'll have a lot to talk about with football. Matt Duncan is starting at QB, lots of new players like Alex Odom, Kobe Wilson and Wisdom Quarshie are getting significant snaps, and Sam Neumann has details and updates on several players from Temple's 2021 class.

If you have a question, please post it here and we'll answer it on the podcast.

And here's our friendly reminder to please subscribe, rate and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you access your podcasts. We appreciate the support!

Nate Pierre-Louis talks his NBA aspirations and his expectations for this year's Temple team

Nate gave great insight about his summer training as well as a breakdown of a few of Temple's newest additions. You can read the full story here.

The Scoop: mailbag questions for Brendan Barry and the staff

Dartmouth transfer Brendan Barry will be our guest on The Scoop this week. We're recording the football portion of the podcast today, the basketball portion tomorrow with Barry and then releasing the podcast tomorrow afternoon so we can talk to him and also bring you some audio from tomorrow's media availability, which will include Dre Perry, most likely J.P. Moorman or Jake Forrester and hopefully one of the newcomers.

So if you have questions for Barry or for us as a staff, post your question here and we'll answer it on the podcast.
