Blank Bros

Remember Eddie Coe, Nate Blackwell and Howie Evans beknighted The Blank Brothers by Coach Chaney. Well, this year's edition of the Owls is worse IMO. Jesse Morgan has to be setting records for the least number of free throws by a guard averaging over 20 minutes per game. In addition, if anybody kept track of " most jacked up 3s with more than 20 seconds left on the shot clock", Morgan would set that one, too. Q is another hot and cold shooter while Will's prowess is not shooting Js either. Talk about winning ugly.

How they are winning playing this poorly offensively is beyond me.

Obama Tax Proposal and the affect on Temple

For those who donate to the Owl Club for priority seating, THIS tax change proposed by Pres. Obama could largely impact athletic giving nationally.

Also, it could have a large affect on the potential construction of a new on-campus stadium. Article can be found HERE.

(Please try and keep the political talk to a minimum and focus more on its' affects on Temple and collegiate athletics.)

Analysis of the 2015 class

This class had a low number of signees, actually the lowest since 2002. The class is the top class by average rating since Rivals began its current rating system in 2007, just edging last year's class. From 2002 -2013 Temple signed just one 4-star. In the last two classes Temple has signed three 4-stars. The last five classes have been the best five by average rating, with each better than the prior. Hopefully Rhule can keep the trend going.

USF

I feel again that our guards need to play better than Collins and Allen. If so, we should win comfortably. We should have an advantage up front as well, but Guerrero is really improving.
Does anyone have an update on Chris Perry's "mystery illness"? I hope that he is o.k., but that he is out for tonight. He has missed 3 straight games, and is listed as being out indefinitely. Bond would have a major advantage without Perry playing.

Adrienne Talan

According to a few sources I spoke with this morning, it's going to be tough for Temple to get Adrienne Talan. Sounds like Talan likes Temple a lot, but he's getting steered to Pitt and Nebraska by the people around him. Pitt could potentially be the leader at this point.

Nothing is set yet, though. This is truly one of the most unpredictable days to cover.
