Will start holding conference championship tournaments in 2017. The tournament will be four team fields and held at the Palestra.

Just reflecting on how far this young man has come in his career here at Temple. After all of the accolades he received coming out of high school even I believed that some day he would be one of the all time greats at TU. Little did I know that it would become maddening, frustrating, exhilirating all wrapped up in one 4 year career watching someone with so much potential have so many highs and lows. The loud chorus of howling TU fans and his detractors often called for his head on this board and the head of his coach. Coming into this season said coach put the ball squarely in Mr. DeCosey's hands and said in no uncertain terms, 'You're the man!' Much to the delight of many, including myself, he has more than adequately answered the call. His numbers bear this out and he has also positioned himself for consideration as the AAC Player of the Year and probably First Team AAC! He has finally matured into the kind of player that we hoped he would be! He NEVER, EVER QUIT and this has become the battle cry of these Owls this season! Maddening though they are to watch (albeit with one eye closed), you have to give it to them for their heart and effort and Quenton is at the heart of these Owls! So....with that said....

Congrats, Q! It was a wild, wild ride but it has overall been a pleasure! Now, you and your teammates, go win yourselves an AAC title and prepare yourselves to dance! GO QDC, GO OWLS , and GO "]["U!!!

Temple is down to a 12 seed and only in his bracket due to leading the conference. His last 4 teams in are the 11 seeds that are part of the play in games.

A unanimous first-team all-AAC. Only he and SMU's Nick Moore were unanimous choices.

Well, his 10th grade son, Jake, 6'8" with a 6'11" wing span, is starting to get some notice.

I'm hearing from another player from that era that he's no longer flying below Temple's radar.

After missing out the last time we recruited a former Temple player's son, here's hoping, if Jake's becoming the talent I hear he is, that we'll have some magic this time around.

I'm also hearing some buzz about Tim Perry's son.

Anyone here following either of them in school or summer play?

This is a major achievement.

Look, at the beginning of every season there are maybe a dozen (if that) teams with National Championship aspirations. Every other team has to set realistic goals. Making the NCAA tournament is obviously a goal. But winning the conference regular season is another important goal. This is a great accomplishment and it should be celebrated. We become obsessed with the sole goal of making the NCAA tournament and advancing, and we tend to forget the steps along the way. For a team predicted to finish 6th and to win the regular season conference championship is huge. We as a fan base should not be so jaded to downplay and ignore it. Great run by the team

Maybe the ACC can throw them out and take us in, like the Big East did to us a few years ago, for "being non-competitive".

I join all of you who say, "Hey, those were quality wins!" Let's add the fact that we're the number one seed in the AAC for the up and coming conference tourney. Upbeat, no doubt.

But yet, in today's RPI, the "C's are 49 and 50 while we're 58th. The gap is way wider in the Sagarin ratings, where they're in the 30's and we're 88th.

Seven of our 10 losses are to teams currently in the RPI top 50. They are Butler, St. Joseph's, Wisconsin, Tulsa along with current top 10 positioned Nova, UNC and Utah.

So, just why are we a projected 11th seed today, with 1 regular season game remaining vs. Tulane tomorrow, and hopefully with a win tomorrow, how deep do we need to go in the AAC to assure our being in?.

I believe that, with a win over Tulane and our making the finals of the AAC post season tourney, we're in. If we don't make the semi-finals, or do, but lose, thus ending up 21 - 11, hope so but think our RPI will undermine the opportunity.

Let's get er done!

I see Bruiser Flint is on a very hot seat at Drexel. Will he get fired and who would be a likely replacement? Trice? Killings? Delaware also had a bad year, and their coach can be on the hot seat.

I forgot to mention how much I loved that all the Owls wore Trey Lowe No. 11 jerseys during warm-ups Thursday night.

I see that PSU did an event this week called a "Max Out" day where they had the media at their football facility and basically showed up the improvements their players have made in the strength and conditioning department. I don't recall Temple ever doing this in the past. John, are you able to give some insight on those athletes that have improved physically over the past few months?

Raise your hands. Even though it hurts Temple's RPI, how many were sorry to see the Hawks spit out the bit at home against a bad Duquesne team?

I think is perfect example of parody in college basketball this year. They started 10-11, before winning 11 of their last 12 games. Their resume is that of a 13/14 seed playing, but they are playing like a 5-7 seed.

It would really suck to be the 2-4 seed that is going to draw them in the opening round.
