Remaining signees

Woodrow Wilson's signing day ceremony is at 1pm today. Most of the time, these ceremonies are well, ceremonial and the actual NLIs have already been sent to the university. I'm not sure if Muheem McCargo and Dyshier Clary are going to wait until 1pm to submit their actual NLIs or if Temple will announce them beforehand.

Temple has also yet to announce Zae Baines' signing. His ceremony is at 10:30 this morning. Considering that Baines is the focal point of this video Temple just put out, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Kobe Wilson

Memphis commit Kobe Wilson took an official visit to Temple this weekend, as we reported last week, and it went really well from what I heard.

That being said, Wilson picked up an offer from Georgia this morning. Temple isn't necessarily out of this one quite yet, though. After talking to our counterparts over at the Georgia site, the feeling is that Georgia wants Wilson to wait until February to sign while they continue to recruit other linebackers. That keeps Temple in the running, as Wilson wants to enroll early.

Wilson hasn't officially decommited from Memphis either so signing with the Tigers is obviously still an option as well.

Something to keep an eye on for tomorrow.

Signing Day coverage

Hi, everyone.

We'll have a story up later tonight or early tomorrow morning with details on who Temple is expected to sign tomorrow. We're still awaiting word on any media availability from Rod Carey and his staff and whether or not they'll be talking as LOIs come in. We'll keep you posted.

I'll also be a guest with Kevin Copp on the football program's live Signing Day show, which is slated to be aired on OwlSports.com and simulcast on the Temple Athletics Facebook page. As of now, the show is scheduled to start at 7 a.m., and I might be on the show a little later. Again, I'll post more details when I have them.

New commit

Temple has added another commitment to its Class of 2020. Daiyaan Hawkins from The Haverford School has committed, OwlScoop.com has learned. Hawkins only had football offers from New Hampshire and Albany but is a track star and had a track scholarship offer from Texas.

Hawkins, who projects as a cornerback, is a legitimate 4.3/4.4 40-yard dash guy and was in on a visit today. This is a situation where Temple is trusting the tape and hoping to turn a guy with next-level athleticism into a more polished football player.

Junior College official visitor

Temple is expected to host Jalen Ware, a junior college safety from Copiah-Lincoln Junior College in Mississippi, this weekend for an official visit, OwlScoop.com has learned.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Ware is originally from Starkville, Mississippi and has FCS offers from Bethune-Cookman, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, North Alabama and Mississippi Valley State. Temple has not yet offered Ware but is doing its due diligence with an official visit.

This season, Ware had 34 tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in nine games for Co-Lin.
