The Las Vegas Raiders cut Tahir Whitehead to clear salary cap space. I hope he finds a new home and sticks around. He was been a full-time starter the past two seasons.

Spring football practices have been suspended for a minimum of the next two weeks. It's a fluid situation that will continue to be monitored.

As of now, Temple's Pro Day set for this coming Monday has not yet been canceled. But that's also a fluid situation, so we'll see what happens there.

I know it's been a crazy time for everyone, but we are planning to move forward with recording our podcast this week (most likely Tuesday afternoon) and in the coming weeks in an effort to provide more content for all of you.

Now that college basketball and everything else has been cancelled, the suggestion is to name the team we would have picked to win The Dance.

Mine is Florida State. The 'Noles had all the players, an excellent Coach, and all were singin' from the same hoops hymnbook. A talented, tough, experienced and finely coordinated.team..

It might seem strange for a Gator to pick our most hated rival (well, there is Georgia), but in a way that makes it more true when I truly am sorry FSU's year will not be.

Any reasons why Sam Franklin has garnered 0 NFL attention whatsoever?? I always loved him as a player although he was a bit hotheaded at times. Only other reason I can think of is that he's kind of positionless (i.e. safety/linebacker hybrid type player). Hoping pro day will give him some notice.

Fran Duffy, who worked as Temple's football video coordinator from 2006 to 2011 under Al Golden, joined us on The Scoop this week. He now works for the Eagles as their production manager and as an on-air talent who hosts two podcasts - Eagle Eye In The Sky and Journey To The Draft. Through that role, he's become a draft analyst and had the opportunity to see Temple's draft hopefuls at the Shrine Bowl, Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine.

Fran also shared some great stories about working for Golden and the early days of the program's turnaround.

Big concern - because he hasn’t shown the ability to motivate or recruit.

Dunphy’s 9 win team was atrocious- we all agree about that. But after a full season of this bunch, I think this team is worse. Thoughts?

We're recording this week's episode of The Scoop tomorrow around noon. In addition to talking some football, we'll preview Temple's upcoming American Athletic Conference tournament game against SMU (Thursday, 8 p.m., ESPNU) against seventh seed SMU. The 10th-seeded Owls split with the Mustangs during the regular seaosn.
