UCF Game

These UCF big guys are BIG! Looks like Watson may be creeping out of the doghouse... Or, he's playing out of necessity.

Hasn't been mentioned enough on these posts, but Brown is really playing well at both ends. I realize how important Q is to the offense, but Brown is my MVP.

Obi needs to shoot more

Your best shooter needs to shoot more and that isn't going to happen in Dunphys guard oriented half court offense

This is a team that needs to increase its shooting percentage and he has the wrong people shooting many times during the game but let's get specific about Obi

The offense is all about guards handling and pounding the ball . I would guess that 95 percent of time that a guard or wing is your best shooter . It isn't often that a 6 ft 9 inch player playing outbid position is the best .

Dunphy has not installed set plays for his half court offense to get this kid open to shoot the ball . Down screens and double screens probably need to be set to get this kid shots . Right now he is totally dependent on the guards dribbling , see a double and maybe giving this kid a chance to do what he does best ..... Shoot the ball.

Dunphy needs to adjust . The kid is a superb shooter from distance . Run your offense to get this kid 15 shots a game

MATT HENNESSEY

Good story by Rich Flanagan on the Don Bosco OL.

Rich answered the question I've been asking myself? Who is going to replace Kyle Friend at C. Obviously junior Brendan McGowan will get first crack, but I wondered about the future after he uses up his eligibility. According to the article, Hennessy, who I guess played OT in high school, will be a center in college.

I figured Benson Israel (6-1, 316) would be in the mix, or maybe Aaron Ruff (6-3, 308), or walk-on Gordon Thomas (6-0, 306), or DL-turned-OL Kiser Terry (6-3, 275), who I believe RS last year and would still have two years of eligibility left.

Obviously Coach Wiesehan will put the five best guys together.

Thanks Kyle

It was a surreal scene at the recruiting event last night. As Matt was on stage, dozens of people were watching Kyle's Periscope feed. When he picked the Temple hat, you could hear a bunch of celebratory cheers spread throughout the room.

The best was watching Matt check his phone every time they cut to another recruit's highlight video to see if he received any contact from Karamo. By far the coolest thing was when Karamo called Matt to tell him, Matt held the phone up and everyone in attendance roared for Karamo to hear. One of the truly cool, unique, and hopefully defining moments I've experienced as a fan of Temple. Thanks Kyle for going above and beyond last night to make it all happen.
