As you're probably aware, Temple received six commitments today to bring its class to 20 prospects. Temple's class is obviously heavily favored due to the sheer quantity of commitments, but the Owls currently have the No. 35 class in the nation. Temple's Class of 2019 is the top Group of 5 class and is ahead of a number of Power 5 schools, including Baylor, Nebraska, UNC and Rutgers.

After talking to a few sources about this over the past few days, it seems that Temple is probably shooting to sign 23 or 24 kids this year. That leaves Temple with three or four scholarships available for this class.

So what does that mean for the remaining spots? According to those same sources, Temple will likely target players from the following positions:

Linebacker - Temple would ideally like to take one more linebacker in this class, with Pleasantville (NJ) LB Mohamed Toure as the primary target for that scholarship. Temple appears to be in good shape for Toure, who also has offers from schools like Boston College, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Maryland. In the event that Toure does not end up at Temple, keep an eye out for recruits like Mohammad Kamara and Josh Pearcy to fill that void. Right now, on July 4, I would expect one of the trio of Toure, Kamara or Pearcy to end up at Temple.

Offensive line - We have less specific names for this but the addition of Victor Stoffel doesn't shut the door on the offensive line aspect of this class. From the sound of it, it seems like Temple wants to add one more offensive lineman to this class, which already includes Stoffel, Jermaine Donaldson and Chris Fowx. This makes a lot of sense when you consider that Stoffel is probably a year or two and 60 pounds away from seeing the field as an offensive lineman. I would be shocked if Temple doesn't add another OL to this class.

Wide Receiver - Temple is still firmly in the mix for guys like Ali Jennings, Isaiah Washington and Ja'Quan Sheppard. All of those players would fill the role of outside wide receivers that are going to drag their recruitment along for a little bit. In the event that Jennings, Washington and Sheppard, who all have some fairly big offers, go elsewhere, Temple could rekindle interest in Stanley King, the younger brother of incoming freshman Travon King. It's not a guarantee that Temple would add another WR to this class but if it does, those names are some guys to look out for.

Tight End - Temple will mostly likely try to add a tight end to this class to replace Chris Myarick, who graduates this year. Despite what Rivals has Jacoby Sharpe listed as, Temple sees him as a defensive end instead of a tight end. Temple could ultimately end up with a player like Ben Castellano, Matt Smith, Jeremiah Pruitte or a name we haven't heard of yet at that position. We'll let you know if we hear of any more honed-in on targets.

Basically, to summarize, Temple could add three or four more kids and would like to target a LB, OL and a Best Player Available, which could be a WR or a TE, to the class.
