Geoff Collins was on 97.5 The Fanatic with Anthony Gargano and Brian Baldinger this morning.
When asked about the quarterback situation, Collins said that he has confidence in all four of his options -- true freshman Todd Centeio, redshirt freshman Anthony Russo, redshirt sophomore Logan Marchi and redshirt junior Frank Nutile. The former Florida defensive coordinator added that two quarterbacks are aware that they will see significant playing time on Saturday.
Then Collins said, "There's another (quarterback) that knows he'll be in to do some special stuff." My educated guess is that Collins is referring to Centeio.
Gargano also asked Collins about his secretive tendencies.
"We don't want to put too much out there about what we're doing, offensively or defensively," Collins said. "The actual scheme part is still to be seen by the world."
Collins said that Temple's staff has reviewed 26 games of film, because Notre Dame has two new coordinators and a special teams coach. Brian Kelly brought in Chip Long as offensive coordinator from Memphis and Mike Elko from Wake Forest. Temple lost to both Memphis and Wake Forest last season.
