Coach Geoff Collins opted to keep himself off the recruiting trail for the first four weeks of the season, but the Owls' staff was out in full force Friday.

Collins checked in on a pair of class of 2019 Temple verbal commits - defensive tackle Wisdom Quarshie of Saint Joseph's Prep Hammonton (N.J.) and offensive lineman Jermaine Donaldson of Eastern Regional (N.J.) - on Friday night, sources familiar with the situation told OwlScoop.com.

Temple had assistant coaches in the stands for the following commits on Friday night: quarterback Kennique Bonner-Steward, defensive tackle Josh Fuga, and defensive backs Tenyeh Dixon and Edward Saydee.

Sources told OwlScoop.com that members of the Owls' staff also checked in on 3-star Maryland safety commit Trey Rucker, uncommitted 3-star receiver Ali Jennings and 2-star defensive end Deshawn Holt, another Maryland commit who attends Westlake High School in Waldforf.
