In case you haven't been following on TV today, Cincinnati beat Memphis to grab the No. 3 seed (Bearcats own the tiebreaker over Temple because they're 2-0 vs. top of the league while the Owls are 0-2). Temple is the No. 4 seed and will play No. 5 seed Memphis. That game will be at 2 p.m. on ESPN2 at Hartford's XL Center.

SMU and Tulsa play at 3 p.m. in Dallas on ESPNU. The winner grabs the regular-season title and gets the No. 1 seed in the tournament. And barring a major upset in the 8-9 game, and if Temple beats Memphis, the Owls would get either SMU or Tulsa in the semifinals Saturday.

As for Memphis, the Tigers still played tough today even without leading scorer Austin Nichols. Temple has to control the pace and be tougher than them.

Although there have been various reports that have said Nichols is likely done for the year, a source I spoke with today said Nichols could still try to play. We'll see.

Kyle, Greg Paone and I will be in Hartford, so we'll have you covered up there.
