Just a few additional pieces of information to pass along from yesterday:
-- Geoff Collins told me that Rob Ritrovato's reps were at tailback and that it's not a sign that he's playing ahead of Nick Sharga at fullback. I know people - including myself - were curious about that, and Sharga was playing from the game's outset on kick coverage.
-- Collins said tight end Chris Myarick got backed up in pregame warmups and did not play, which opened up an opportunity for Jake Robinson.
-- The scout team players of the week were running back Jonny Forrest, safety George Reid and linebacker Audley Isaacs (special teams.) Gives you a little bit of insight into some of the freshmen and younger players who are standing out in practice.
-- When I asked Collins about Randle Jones and Freddie Johnson getting more reps at wide receiver, he said it's because they've done well on special teams and called them "elite gunners" in kick coverage.
-- I also asked about former 4-star Timber Creek High School recruit Kareem Ali, and Collins said he's been "banged up for a while." Ali has only played once this season, against Villanova.
-- When Collins was asked if Ryquell Armstead will play Saturday against UConn, he said, "I hope so" and also added, "I appreciate how hard he fought to even play (at ECU) at all."
