Updates on Diwun Black and Ian Stewart

Redshirt senior defensive end Diwun Black could miss up to the first four weeks of the season due to an academic issue, we've been told by multiple sources. Those sources also indicated to us that a successful appeal to the NCAA could cut it from four weeks to two weeks, but I'll never profess to know or predict how quickly the NCAA will respond to the appeal.

Ian Stewart, unfortunately, will be out for the year after sustaining a quad tear. Another tough turn for a respected player on the roster, one who missed most of the past two seasons due to injuries, including a stress reaction in his foot that occurred during pregame warmups at Rutgers last season.

Alums For Athletics Outreach

Might as well start a thread on a coordinated effort to influence and hold accountable the BOT, President, and AD in making sure athletics is a priority.

Top 3 Goals?
- Get into a power conference - preferably ACC. I imagine this is priority #1.
- Temple execs and BOT must all buy-in on NIL and be very active getting alums and local businesses to donate to NIL.
- On Campus Stadium

I imagine everyone is aligned on those goals. So how do you hold accountable and influence the BOT, President, and AD in a very effective manner? How have other schools alums do it? I honestly don't know - can anyone give examples (within reason - we are not psu - but maybe what ucf, cincinatti, etc did?) I'm not aware of any schools where alums led a movement like this - most schools that were accepted into a power conference had great leadership from the President and AD.

Fire away on how to do this effectively. Most - if not all here - would want to help.
