In the 1st half Duke didn't pressure Russo. He was fantastic, he had time and throw fantastically.

Meanwhile, OWLS keep trying to run the ball mostly up the middle, which failed. But they took the lead with defense and good passing.

But Duke seeing OWLS couldn't run the ball as we had no backs run like Armstead.

Duke adjusted in the 2nd half, realizing the run couldn't hurt them, starting an all out pressure defense on Russo. It worked. TU COULDN'T move the ball. A total passing offense failed under relentless blitz rush.

Meanwhile, the OWLS CONTINUED to play conventional Defense and got crushed by a future Pro quarterback. No pressure and the guy just sat back with no pressure and picked our Defense apart, into a rout.

I was surprised our coaches somehow believed that a passive approach on defense in the 2nd would somehow work.

It didn't. Resulting in an embarrassing LOSS.

The Duke coach just made the right decisions. And we have another bowl loss.

GO OWLS, AAC CHAMPIONSHIP In 2019 and a bowl Win!!!
