A first-rate story in the Temple News details the rapidly escalating development around campus. This development has an interwoven cause and effect with the rapid rise of TU overall, and doubtless bears upon thoughts about the on-campus stadium.

Lots of take homes (pun not intended) from this worth-a-read. Leading mine is the almost astonishing increase in property values and the number of properties being bought and sold. The market is reality, and it is that more people are flocking to the university with the economic activity they generate. Put this in the context of development moving up Broad Street from Center City, and down Broad from the north, and the hot growth just to the east over to the river.

Regarding the stadium, it seems Temple was at the least premature in its "done deal" portrayal of the project. If the university still is serious about the stadium, its advent is more likely in the near future because that is the way the market and economy are going.
