Temple is currently hosting former UCLA quarterback Kaijya Hollawayne, who has spent the last two seasons converting to a wideout, OwlScoop.com has learned.

Hollawayne originally signed with the Bruins as a member of the Class of 2021 and redshirted his first season underneath Chip Kelly. Hollawayne then transferred to Grambling State, where he didn't win the starting quarterback job, and switched to wide receiver midway through the season. After switching positions, Hollawayne caught five passes over a six-game stretch before deciding to do a year of JUCO ball at Riverside City College in California.

With Riverside, Hollawayne caught 22 passes for 425 yards and three touchdowns, including an 85-yard performance in the playoffs against a Mt. SAC team that featured current Temple linebacker Katrin Suprenant. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Hollawayne is a big play threat, as his 19.3 yards per catch average would have led the conference if he had met the minimum catch criteria.
