The NCAA's dead period ends at midnight Thursday (tomorrow) and Temple's new coaching staff will hit the recruiting trail.

Defensive line coach Jim Panagos is expected to stop by Einstein High School in Maryland to see 2017 defensive end Arnold Ebiketie (6-4/205), who's currently committed to Towson

Panagos will also go to see 2017 Henry E. Lackey (Md.) linebacker Malik Burns (6-2/224) Thursday. Burns holds offers from Toledo, East Carolina, Kent State, James Madison, among others.

Chris Jimenez (6-5/250), a 2017 offensive line commit from Perkiomen Valley (Pa.) High School, will host Temple coach Chris Collins and offensive line coach Chris Wiesehan for an in-home visit Thursday night. Collins is also expected to stop in at Jimenez's school Thursday morning.

Collins and Wiesehan will conduct another home visit Thursday night with 2017 defensive back commit Jeremy Jennings (5-11/175) of Downingtown East (Pa.) High School.

Tight ends coach Ed Foley will visit 2017 athlete commit Ja'Sir Taylor (6-0/175) of Brick Township (N.J.) High School on Thursday. Wake Forest is also making a push for Taylor, who has been committed to Temple since June.

Ibrahim Kante, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive end from Trinity-Pawling School (N.Y.), will receive a visit from Panagos Monday. As Kyle reported earlier today, Kante will take an official visit to Temple the weekend of Jan. 20. Kante told OwlScoop that the Owls are "very close" to offering, although a scholarship has not been extended to date.
