Per a number of sources, Rod Carey will bring Jeff Knowles with him to Philadelphia as the Owls' defensive coordinator. Knowles is already on campus.
2018 was Knowles' first year as defensive coordinator at NIU but he was also defensive coordinator at St. Francis for two seasons earlier in his career. Knowles' 2018 defense was No. 35 in the nation in scoring defense, No. 40 in total defense, No. 11 in rushing defense and No. 3 in sacks.
Carey will also bring Aaron Christner, NIU's Director of Football Operations, and Brad Ohrt, NIU's strength coach, to Temple.
