According to several sources I spoke with this afternoon, longtime Temple assistant Ed Foley has resigned from his coaching position with the Owls and will be joining Matt Rhule's Baylor staff in an off-the-field role.
Foley, who was in his 12th season at Temple, had previously been retained as Rod Carey's special teams coordinator.
I would expect that we'll possibly see one of the analysts on the staff move up to a bigger role, and it's possible that Carey could make an outside hire to replace Foley in an off-the-field role.
We'll have more details on this as we get them.
