Seriously, how are things this bad? How!?
I feel like I have been ‘catfished’ into believing this storyline of how elite, talented and tough this team is; it clearly doesn’t appear that way on game days.
The players don’t seem like they care. There is zero on-field player leadership. Collins coming across more and more as a ‘players’ coach and focusing too much on being cool rather than what needs to get done.
We start the game with an on-sides kick. Why? Seems desperate from the get-go....against a MAC team.
We had only 2 TFLs today....at one point the starting RB was playing DE.
The DL did nothing today, they were handled. Diaboute and Archibong have been MIA.
The LBs are not consistently in the right place at right time- no contact at line of scrimmage....Bradley was literally run over several times.
Delvon, seemed to have a ‘good’ game today, but again whiffed on impact plays....that’s 2 weeks in row from what some call a first round pick.
Finally, They should have let Russo play. He looks confident, moves surprisingly well and has zip on the ball. At this point I’d rather see them lose with a young qb vs watching Frank suffer through the year.
For an organization which has made so much fuss with their social media talking about how hard they work and how tuff they are....things certainly look beyond humiliating at the moment.
I don’t profess to be a football coach, but certainly, from a leadership/management perspective, real changes need to be made. Not new gimmicks introduced.
