Fran Dunphy still has an opening on in his basketball staff, and I have heard a few candidates remain in the mix to replace former video coordinator Jake Shechtman.
Multiple sources told OwlScoop.com that former Temple big man Jimmy McDonnell is a candidate, although he has made a career for himself in the Israel-Winner League. It remains unclear if McDonnell is ready to step away from playing overseas.
As for other names in the mix, graduate managers Mark Hueber and Mike Clark, the son of Temple chief operating officer Kevin Clark, have come up, sources said. Andrew Radomicki, the director of basketball operations at Lafayette and former Temple graduate manager, is another possibility.
Dunphy, who's set to step aside after the 2018-2019 season, will have final say on the video coordinator hire, multiple sources said. Associate head coach Aaron McKie, who's in line to be Dunphy's successor, will have input on the decision, as well.
