Geoff Collins and staff are set to host visitors leading up to the NCAA's dead recruiting period, which begins June 26th.
The Owls hosted a pair of local prospects Wednesday in 2018 Imhotep offensive lineman Justin Johnson and Simon Gratz defensive back Amir Gillis. Johnson and Gillis both hold offers from Temple. Collins and staff offered Gillis at Temple's first camp of the summer last month, while Johnson has racked up tenders from the likes of Michigan State, Oregon and Wisconsin.
Trad Beatty, a class of 2018 quarterback from Ben Lippen School in South Carolina, will be on campus Thursday. Beatty picked up an early offer from Mississippi State but the Bulldogs have since added a quarterback for the 2018 recruiting class. He also holds Ivy League offers from Harvard, Brown, Columbia and Yale.
And Temple will also host TJ Banks, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound athlete from East Allegheny High School, on June 20th. Banks already holds offers from Syracuse, Maryland, Pittsburgh, among others. He likely projects as a tight end or defensive end at the next level.
The day after Banks is on campus, Blake Carroll of Mountain View High School in Collins' home state of Georgia will visit Temple June 21st. The Owls have yet to offer Carroll. He holds tenders from UCF, Rutgers and Georgia State.
