I just did some research and it appears Dion Dawkins and Haasan Reddick's trial is set for 8/22/16, just a week and a half before the opener.
I know this is a sensitive subject and that some players may follow the boards. The eyewitness testimony from the Plaintiffs' side seems to be in question, but who knows where the ruling might land.
I can't help but think that a negative outcome for the defense would have a big impact on the team's success this year. Dawkins may be our best NFL prospect and Reddick had a solid year rushing the QB and creating havoc on special teams. How is our depth behind these players if one or both are unable to play?
Is there any precedent for # of games suspended for this type of offense? Are we talking gone for the whole season or just a few games?
