Just a few things to pass along from today's spring practice, Temple's first. @MattVender will have a story up later.

As was the case with past coaches like Matt Rhule and Steve Addazio, we were given access to watch the last 15 to 20 minutes of practice.

Geoff Collins talked after practice about position flexibility and versatility and spoke of getting multiple players reps. It's been a consistent early theme since National Signing Day. So it's important to remember it's early and that we could see players shifting around, getting reps at different positions and with the ones, twos and threes at times.

If we're going simply off the naked eye, Logan Marchi was getting reps with what looked like the early first-team offense. And a tweet from Dave Gerson from the SWAGcoordinator account shows Marchi was in with what again looked like the first-team offense for the first play of practice, a fullback belly call to Nick Sharga.

In the time we were there, Frank Nutile would rotate in with what looked like the twos. Anthony Russo, Todd Centeo and walk-on Tommy Wyatt were at the north end of the field working out with the younger players and other backups. Again, as you'll hear me say repeatedly, it's early.

Marchi will still sidearm a throw or two or try to do something outside the pocket to create, but he did throw a nice deep ball TD down the left sideline to Ventell Bryant. He played behind an offensive line that included Cole Boozer at left tackle, Jovahn Fair at left guard, Matt Hennessy at center, Adrian Sullivan at right guard and Jaelin Robinson at right tackle. Collins, when asked if there were any players who missed practice due to injury, said there were "some," but that he really doesn't talk about that. I can only speculate - with speculate being the key word - that Leon Johnson is one of them. I'd have to assume he would have otherwise been out there at left tackle. I'll try to follow up on that tomorrow morning.

On defense, linebacker Shaun Bradley picked off a Nutile pass while backpedaling, rotated his hips and quickly shot back upfield. Collins mentioned Bradley after practice as a player who has had a good offseason.
