I wasn't able to listen to the podcast, but I have several questions that I would like to know if anyone can answer.
1. Is Ernest Aflakpui healthy and strong enough to play effectively this year? If he can be a force under the basket then Jaylen and Obi will be even more effective at the forward spot, even if it is only for 10-15 minutes a game.
2. Are Trey Lowe and Levan Alston strong enough to play defense at the college level? We know that they are good offensive players but can anyone tell whether they will be able to play defense as well?
3. How are Jaylen Bond's ankles? Has he had any problems with them since the end of last season? If he can be relatively injury-free it will make a big difference to our chances.
4. How is our offense going to change now that Josh Brown is playing point guard instead of Will Cummings? I thought that last year, Coach Dunphy designed the offense to take advantage of Will's speed, so when Josh had to replace him, it was not an optimal situation for Josh. Perhaps this year there will be more sharing of the point guard role among 2 or 3 players on the floor.
5. How does Obi look? Was the Miami NIT game a portent of the future or just a one-off? I'm hoping that Obi will become a real start this year.
If anyone is in a position to know more about these questions than I do, I would love to hear from you.
