Being a glutton for punishment and because it is Halloween I re-watched the tape of Army game.The worst of the coach was obvious as he was not able to adjust to Army,s offense when it was important to do so. He has experience as a defensive coordinator, but it hasn,t shown through this year as he feels his way as a rookie head coach. When the camera focuses on him he is standing alone and looking lost.The criticism that says the team lacks fire doesn,t compute with clips of their practices which has the team and led by the coach giving their all.The best and the reason I have been a supporter occurred when his kicker missed the tying field goal and collapsed with sadness. Collins held him while he was so distraught and at that moment the coach,s character was obvious and I felt that if my son were a football player that this would be the coach that I would want leading him.The best is still to come maybe starting against Navy ,butcertainly next year when he will no longer be a rookie and the fruits of his recruiting skills will come to fruition.
