This 15-minute segment within the highly-rated Action News will be hosted by The Action News Sports Team and feature Temple’s head football coach Matt Rhule.
“We are excited to partner with 6abc for this special feature in Action News” said Temple University Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft. “This is a great way to start off Saturday for our alums and college football fans with an inside look into the Temple Owls.”
“We are excited to huddle up with The Temple Owls and give this football program the attention it deserves,” says President & General Manager Bernie Prazenica. “Coach Rhule has taken Temple football to an exciting new level, and we’re looking forward to putting the spotlight on the players and coaches in this program.”
Coming off a 10-4 season, which saw the Owls win the American Athletic East Division and appear in their first bowl game since 2011, Temple opens play Friday night (7:00 pm) at Lincoln Financial Field against Army. Led by head coach Matt Rhule, now in his fourth season, the Owls are predicted to finish second in the East Division of the American Athletic Conference this season.
