Coming into the season, I thought the D would be the calling card for this team especially given Coach Collins' experience. The ND game was bad, but I was hoping for a big bounce back defensively against 'Nova...however, as we all could see, 'Nova seemingly passed at will against us and our pressure on the QB was inconsistent. Saw the quotes about "good fits" this time from the linebackers (and yes we stopped the run) but no real explanation for why 'Nova dismantled us through the air...very little mayhem was brought by the Owls here. Getting a stop in the fourth quarter was a chore for this D. Any idea what Collins and Johnson have in store as the schemes have not looked great the first two games? I thought the secondary was the strength of this unit??
