I'm guessing we might win, maybe two games the rest of this season, U Conn, UCF, maybe.
None of us want to go through another 2-10 or 0-11 season again, but there's nothing a lot better on the horizon considering what we've seen thus far.
So, beyond the obvious, some things to watch optimistically:
Quincy Roche - At the season ticket holder pick up party, I spoke to several players, and as is my habit, I asked each of them "Who's going to be a star that you think I don't know about?" Quincy Roche was pointed out by half the players. 4 sacks, as many pressures at least. This kid is the second coming of Muhamed Wilkerson, although on the outside.
Matt Hennesy - more of an Alex Derenthal than a Kyle Friend, but the kid is a load in the middle, and quite frankly he's been the best part of what ought to be a much better line. He's going to be a star in a year or two.
Todd Centino - Obviously, everyone wants to know why he only got 7 snaps, but this kid was an artist on the play action, can run like the wind with incredible vision, and he flicks a pass like no one I've seen since Chester Stewart, but with much better accuracy and better touch. What he showed at the C&W seems like it wasn't a fluke.
The DBs - It'd be really nice if Delvon Randall and Champ didn't showcase their chasing ball carriers from behind more than their coverage skills. Still, both of these cats will be a middle round draft pick, and if they can actually get the opportunity to play Safety, probably higher.
