Despite rumors floating around that Shizz Alston will transfer, he told OwlScoop.com in a Monday morning phone interview that he plans to stay at Temple for his senior season.
"I plan on staying at Temple," Alston said. "That's the plan."
Alston, who's set to graduate from Temple in August, could transfer and play right away at another school.
"I haven't really thought about (transferring)," he said. "I'm just trying to figure out what's going on here, first and foremost. And work with my teammates. The plan is to come back for next year."
While the news dropped Friday that assistant coach Aaron McKie will take over for Fran Dunphy following the 2018-2019 season, Alston said he still has not heard from members of the coaching staff to confirm the news. Temple's coaching staff departed for San Antonio on Friday for the Final Four.
I'll have a story up later today, so stay tuned for that.
