Years ago, I remember speaking with Mike Bamonti and Bill Bradshaw for TUMBB to consider playing at the then soon to be built PPL Center in Allentown. We discussed how it was an easy opportunity to connect with Lehigh Valley alums and 2X AAC COY's past arrangements with his buddy FOH. Lo and behold TU was either not interested, didn't see the value or was just plain oblivious, but apparently PSUBB and VUBB did/does. I recognize D. Hilliard was excited about playing in front of his hometown and I'm confident it was a factor in scheduling, but the venue is actually a great place to see a game.
I understand it's nowhere near as nice as BC, but it probably would draw more than a handful of local alums as those piss-poorly attended events do. Another missed opportunity by TU and one which was low risk high reward that others have capitalized on.
