I love the fact that of the nine verbals listed on the home page of OWLSCOOP, seven are defensive players. I know Jordan Magee is listed as an ATHLETE, but I thought I read that he'll be an outside linebacker. I especially like the fact that two of the verbals are DT and one is a DE. Keep building the trenches on both sides of the ball. The other defensive positions Temple received verbals from are two LBs and two DBs. And the Owls secured a verbal from a big old OL prospect. Keep building the lines on both sides.
Al Golden is God, and Matt Rhule did a tremendous, unreal job as head coach of the Owls, but I really am enjoying Coach Collins' recruiting abilities. He's a defensive guru, so I trust his ability to identify defensive players. There were quite a few DE prospects in his first class and, hopefully, that trend will continue with the 2019 class.
How great would it be if he could have the Owls defense someday playing like his Florida and Mississippi State defenses? Allow me to dream.
