Watching the game yesterday it was obvious that SMU's receivers were very skilled. They were faster, ran better routes, adjusted to errant throws, were faster and ,of course, caught everything thrown their way. Often, it seems that our receivers don't create much separation and dont cut off their routes when the QB is in trouble. Don't know if this is coaching or a talent disparity.
We really do miss R. Jones, and I am happy to see that our current commitment list includes 5 WR's and several other designated "ATH" that could become WR's. Today's game requires it and it appears our coaches recognize it as well.
