Isaiah Lewis, a 2016 shooting guard from Casper College in Wyoming, could be on the verge of landing an offer from Temple if he gets his academics in order.
"Not yet," Lewis said when asked if Temple has extended an offer at this point in time. "It's pretty close to happening, though. We're just finalizing some things with academics."
Despite the fact that he still holds no scholarships offers to date, Lewis named Temple as the leader in his recruitment.
Lewis, who played AAU basketball with the Nike-backed NJ Playaz, is a Bronx native that played his high school ball at a combination of The Patrick School (NJ), Christ the King (NY) and Arlington County Day School (Fla.). He has a strong connection to Temple graduate assistant Luis Guzman, who's a fellow NJ Playaz alumnus and Bronx native.
